Who we are
“We affirm the sacredness of queer identity and the power of Christ’s love to break through shame, restore dignity, and rebuild community.”
Love Metropolitan Community Church (Love MCC) is a queer spiritual community.
Are you exploring your faith or longing for a deeper, more authentic spiritual life?
At Love MCC, you’re invited to come just as you are and journey with us in grace, truth, and love.
-
Founded in 1978 in Las Vegas, we’ve spent forty seven years reaching out to those on the margins—especially LGBTQ+ individuals—who are seeking spiritual growth, healing, and belonging.
-
What binds us together as a church is the idea that we are all welcome in this space, where there is no hate, prejudice or disunity in God’s house. We seek those who have a willingness to journey together in our walk of spiritual faith.
-
MCC churches promote the use of inclusive language which enhances and extends our understanding of God's many names. Wherever possible, song verses and Scripture have been made inclusive. Many times, we will use non-gendered pronouns in reference to the divine.
-
We sing. We pray. We listen. And we find new friends. There is always something to make you feel welcome.
Open Communion has always been an integral part of Metropolitan Community Churches. Our communion is available for anyone who wishes to receive.
-
Our worship celebrates the presence of the Holy in new and creative ways. We’re not like other churches—and that’s intentional.
Many of us have come from traditions that told us we were unworthy, unloved, or unacceptable because of who we are or whom we love.
Our services have a lot of music and singing. Our music comes from various genres and styles, from church hymns, contemporary Christian and also secular pieces that are transformed into spiritual songs. -
Our worship space has accessible area for those using mobility devices.
